Parents' evening: revelations about your children - or you?

Ever found out that some of your darkest, deepest secrets have innocently been revealed to your child's teacher and a class full of under-sevens?

That, it turns out, is the experience of many parents when they nervously tip toe into school for parents' evening.

Or a 4 years old friend of my daughter's who recently announced "my daddy sometimes wears dresses." Marvellous!

Even better are the details a teacher can 'let slip' about (especially teenage) children. Like 'oh, he works really hard' to the cool kids parents, or 'he's a fantastic poet' to the parents of the rugger-bugger. All true.
