I can't bear it, I can't, I can't ... is that ghastly hag indestructible? Poor lovely Gerry, with his 'It's a far far better thing that I do ...' speech. But wonder how the Gurus would have decided if he hadn't kept insisting he would go? Now we've got another week of that indescribably awful whining crone.
She IS spoiling BB8 - I might stop watching now, until the final night. So there, Endemol!

Posted by: Gabrielle de P | 17 Aug 2007 21:42:22

I KNEW HE WOULD DO THAT! AAAARRRGGGHHH! Bloody Twinnies, too scared to vote for the Witch. At least she now knows she's unpopular. Bet she chokes trying to agree with others that it was a nice thing to do.

Also what's up with Krustys' gurned up face at the task - it's a bit of fun, you miserable bint.

How yummy is Gerry looking? Off to watch interview, Divvy better be nice to him.

i am crying ... i never turn on this silly laptop at home i do this stuff at work. this bloody woman has convinced them she needs the money and has had such a hard life they all feel beholden to her ,,, she obviously expects liam to pay her back the 100k she 'gave' him. omigod. i am so angry.

Posted by: wendy | 17 Aug 2007 21:50:30

.........And another thing (this ranting could go on a while, BTW), any time when there is a choice of HMs to evict, they usually sit arguing who wants to go. Did Carole say "choose me, I'm a hateful old witch. Let Gerry stay" No she ruddy well didn't. Argh.

Posted by: Daphnesobbingquietlyintobeer | 17 Aug 2007 21:58:54

... and another thing: it was a big mistake for the gurus to make their choice face to face with the housemates. It should have been done in the Diary Room, away from any influence from the others. If it had been done that way, I reckon Gerry might still be in.
Grrrrr ....

Posted by: Gabrielle de P | 17 Aug 2007 22:10:15

LOVE YOU GERRY! You are truly accepted and the evil one got nearly half the votes. I can't bear to watch her this coming week, I feel that I must boycott the rest of the show too. Gerry was great in his interview. Now all the real people have gone. Brian is being slightly pulled down by his iinfatuation and the rest are also-rans with no humanity. Carole has no largesse or soul, as it faded she was having the most banal conversation with Jonty, while Gerry was noble and shining, but GONE.

Posted by: CHAVOYEUR | 17 Aug 2007 22:37:53

Gerry is too saintly for this world. SHE should have gone, and if this was a normal voting week we, the public, would be stoning her out of there with a stonking 49%!
I would've understood(just)had Gerry not won, but it's such an injustice that he's out before carole, Tracy and Liam.

Posted by: Liv | 17 Aug 2007 22:44:41

Me thinks Div liked him a bit TOO much. He's so nice and sooo handsome.
What is it that Carole has said to make everyone think she should get the money? If she doesn't have any maybe she could go and get a job instead of moaning on the telly, for weeks on end. I don't know what her hard life has been, but I thought she had chosen her lifestyle, Greenham, squats etc.

BTW, where's Tim? He better not be hanging around a T.V studio somewhere.

FECK!

Madness, utter madness.

Posted by: Joolz | 17 Aug 2007 23:22:07

Gerry is the housemate of the future, he combined frivolous behaviour with intellect. I will never forgot his rant at Séany about an 'eye for an eye' & Séany's mutter in a 'I know a shit or two about philosophy, I bought a reduced 50-things-about-western-philosophy book in Fopp once' - "that's not quite how Gandhi put it"
And Gerry screeched mid-way through conversation, 'it was the Bible, not Gandhi, you fool'.

My love groweth ever since.
Carol know nothing. Ger her ooooot.

Posted by: Asriel | 17 Aug 2007 23:27:58

I now think that Carole must have a plan - one that the viewing public do not know about. She is going to donate all the money to Greenpeace or some other charity? Why are BB producers keeping this quiet? Gerry was not given the opportunity to say anything a the eviction interview. I agree with Gabrielle - Gerry should still be in. Carole got 49% of the vote!
Clarice

Posted by: Clarice | 17 Aug 2007 23:30:21

50% of the GBP wanted Carole to go. They've annoyed half the viewers. How ridiclous.

Posted by: lightupvirginmary | 17 Aug 2007 23:41:35

I am voting with the off switch - I can't take another week of that hideous old bag. They have well and truely f*cked up.

Posted by: sandra | 18 Aug 2007 10:53:18

And another thing - at what point do we have any say in this bloody show anymore. Despite winning 49% of the public vote to get booted, BB contrive to keep her in. SO now we have them making all the decisions, sending people back in who have been voted out, getting the housemates to choose who goes, and making all sorts of manipulation to keep people in who they want - what is the point of voting at all ?

Ughhhh !

Posted by: sandra | 18 Aug 2007 10:57:54

I'd have been here venting my wrath within seconds of Gerry's departure had I not been wrestling Mrs Stoat to the floor, jamming a wooden spoon between her teeth and generally restraining her from leaping face forward into the TV, crawling down the wire to Borehamwood and popping out of the house monitor intent on grabbing Carole by the throat and squeezing till her thumbs met in the middle.

Mrs S REALLY liked Gerry, you understand. As did, and indeed do, I.

Oh that it had to end that way..if only Gerry hadn't more or less volunteered himself, the selfless fool. (And Gerry, if you were worried about being 'accepted'...you WERE accepted by everyone in the world who matters a toss, you silly boy. Yo didn't have to immolate yourself to make us like you).

I do think that if he'd just sat quietly he could have survived. Tracey, that metal-faced div, would definitely have cast her vote against him, but The Twins, left to themselves, would probably have remembered Carole's whining and carping and shit-stirring and nominated accordingly. Leaving only Ziggy - when it comes to shifting loyalties he could teach the Vicar of Bray a thing or two, but there's no love lost between him and Carole and I think he'd have planted his guru's gilded sandal firmly in her ample ringpiece.

And where did all this 'Carole needs the money' business come from? Why does Carole need £100,000 any more than the rest of them? Or me, for that matter? What's she going to do with it? Buy an entire print run of 'Socialist Worker'?

Anyway, judging by the audience reaction she's a walking corpse from now on; here's hoping she walks the plank ignominiously next week. And hoping too that Gerry is currently lying back enjoying the very finest blowjob he's ever had...form an orderly queue now ladies...no pushing at the back...

I actually cannot believe bendermol have contrived to throw out one of the best housemates in years.

Scandalous vote rigging, at least ITV did it with panache & made an enterprise out of it.

Posted by: Asriel | 18 Aug 2007 12:34:39

Of course Carol has a plan, she always has. It was to occupy herself all day while everyone else had very little to do. Controlling the food and essential items that go into the house means she controls the lives of the housemates. They have now become so institutionalised that they are fearful of looking after themselves. Gerry was the only one who managed not to be dominated by her, hence the voting out. As for Carol needing the money. What has she told the housemates? She has a house - we've seen it (needs a good clean) and she's clearly getting enough to eat. It can't be that she's going to give the money to charity because the impression I get is that they think she needs it. Drugs? Betting? Liposuction? Face lift?
The only comfort is that when it comes to the final vote it is always the public that decides.

endemol--feel our WRATH!

Posted by: damian barr | 18 Aug 2007 16:14:20

I'm bloody well going to write to Endemol. And Bodgewatch, Telewatch or whatever the hell the outfit's called, that's supposed to regulate such stuff such as voting.
If the 'Gurus' had done their deliberations in the Diary Room, away from the other lot, there would have been no way they'd be influenced by the noble Gerry, or anyone else. That must surely have been bleeding obvious to the producers. No, they've manipulated us yet again.

Posted by: Gabrielle de P | 18 Aug 2007 17:02:12

Not Gerry! Am scandalised to hear such news. I join with the rest of you in condemning Endemol for their utter dogged, bloody-mindedness in keeping the dregs in and letting the diamonds go.
Words fail me.

Posted by: Jessica | 18 Aug 2007 20:27:06

Just don't think it was fair to put the decision on which one of the two to go in front of the actual victims and especially starting with the 'intelectually challenged' twins (Sod these university acceptances - still can't believe any Don actually capable of understanding a whole sentence let alone acceptance interview) who were bound to follow Gerry's offerings. Carole certainly did nothing to counter the claims - miserable bitch.. Can't help but think that, if the Gurus were called into Diary Room to make decision, Ziggy would have persuaded the Twins to let Carole go on 'compassionate grounds' especially as they never did like her as a 'mother figure' i.e. non-fun person in da house.

BTW Welcome back Dawn Right Nasty and Jessica - Really did wonder what had become off you so nice to know you're both OK
