Dermot's coat
came from All Saints. For real. Detective work done for the day.
Right, time for a little light retuning. Evictions? Do we care?

OK Tim, I might be the only one who does care. However much I dislike simpering Jade who is deemed 'talented' for being pretty (she's not and she lisps so you can't understand a word she's crying about), I feel Viktor ought to go. He's the biggest male chauvinistic pig I've encountered in decades. Ordering his sister around to F****ng get up off her lazy arse to make him breakfast etc. is considered normal in his eyes. Their mum Carmen on BBLB, tried to make out he's nice, really, but I think not.
Spoiled racing ace Jeremy is merely and lamely following Viktor in words and actions - not pretty and surely not good for his career.
Well, Thank Goodness we know good old HG is gracing us with his presence again this Summer (According to GdP - she should know as his stand in Granny). He was barely there the last one!
But Gabrielle, you know it's the same every series - things, people etc. need to settle and you can't write off a whole series just cause you didn't like Matt Lucas the first two days. I didn't either but am really chuffed I stuck with it as I am actually enjoying the series. In actual fact, the change-over each day is quite insightful and far from boring!
You know, as a matter of experiences with your husbands, that some disappoint after initial pleasure whilst others turn out to be a***holes and you've sensibly gotten rid of them (one way or 't other). Same goes for housemates.
I'm really sorry so many of you won't join the blog as you won't watch the series. Can't pretend I don't feel lonely but take offence at being thought off a boring old cow for liking it! Chill out guys - gives this one a chance

Is it the Otto that's on the All Saints website?
Posted by: Mike Williams | 11 Jan 2008 09:05:30
I've not been watching it, so I don't care about the evictions...mind you, I expect I'll be watching the last few days...that's what usually happens...
We shall have to see

Mike, I shall report back. Tim

Oh Whatever.
Didn't watch John MacCririck because I can't stand him, but might venture in tonight. It's quite good, I can take it or leave it.
But glad to hear the commitments being made towards the summer BB, even though I probably won't be around *snif*. Will have to survive on internet tabloid reports and your own dear selves.
You are all entitled to your own opinions I suppose.

I am enjoying this to a certain degree, but like someone said elsewhere, it does depend on the celeb BB person. Although Victor is a pain in the ass at times, I'm enjoying the banter between him, Jeremy and Amy. But some of the others in there are just insufferably dull. I mean Calista and Latoya - has anyone actually heard them speak yet?

Russell Brand, I'm NOT your Number One Fan, but I have to thank you for providing the best hour's (TV) entertainment I've had in some time. May I suggest that you apply for the Highjacker's job full-time. I would be only too happy to write a reference for you.
The sight of the Giant Scot reduced to a blubbering jelly, sitting in the garden alcove was one to cherish. If this boy ever becomes a professional politician, and has to make a serious decision....well, the mind boggles.
John Mc? was not as hopeless as I feared, although all his cunning stunts were soon rumbled by the Brainy-Bunch. I think the 3 second nose-picking flash lowered the tone somewhat.
Victor's wooing of Jade was a scream. She wasn't fooled for one second, and if it had been outsde of the 'House', she would have reported him for stalking and harassment.
After the initial couple of days of polite conversation, some expletives are creeping in, but to their credit, none of the housemates is a smoker. Maybe the Secondary School Health Education Syllabus is having an effect after all (although I thought it included something about 'use of alcohol' as well).
Victor deserves to get the boot this evening, but I would like to keep him in so that we can see more of the Siblings' Act. Let's chuck Jeremy out instead. We've seen nothing of his driving skills, and he sniggers too much.

I’ve never cared less about a BB eviction. Is this the worst ever series, even worse than the boring one with Cameron Stout? Maybe not as bad as the one with school kids when one of them needed the morning-after pill. But nearly.
Anyhoo, Russell Brand - am loving his work. Anarchic hijackers are best. And I love the funny guys doing Big Mouth. The rest of it is too self-absorbedly yawny for words.

so who got evicted? No E4 at this end = poor, hard-worked students :(

I actually LIKED Russell Brand too - a first for me. More of him as BB and I might be tempted away from Seinfeld. Tim and Hansgruber are indeed my adopted grandsons and I have my eye on young Damian, too (where is he?).
As for Lianne's insightful comments about husbands, how I agree ... disappointments, a***holes ... ah well, one soldiers on, single and brave - I cannot recommend cats enough as husband substitutes.

Gabrielle, my cat is the Love of my Life! Everytime I have an argument with hubby the main topic (to some people sad but (gigglingly) true) at end of serious row is our cat. Cat is MINE! I shall decide if hubby is allowed visitation rights (supervised, off course) He talks of having the cat sliced in half so neither of us will miss out . . . . . . OK so most sane people don't understand but, when you haven't got kids, it's easy to become very attached to cat.
So Gabrielle, should things really go tits up with hubby after 22 years, would you consider me as an adopted granddaughter (comes with gorgeous rescue cat!) Mind you, don't blame you if you only cater for lovely young blokes.
If things were ever to go that bad I might make a play for your adopted grandsons and things could become messy?!
By the way, if anyone is remotely interested, Jade got the boot!
Ah well, I'm glad you enjoyed RB too and really hope the summer BB will bring the old bloggers back together again

Oh at last...The Blog is back! (Where was it hiding? I couldn't find it on the main Blogs page and thought someone had taken an executive decision to boycott BB).
Greetings, Happy New Year and best wishes to everyone...Daphne, Lianne, Gabrielle, Joolz and all, good to see you're well and as acerbic as ever.
I haven't seen as much of BBCH as I'd hoped. Mrs Stoat has been most unwell, so she has (sorry; over-exposure to Jim MacDonald in Coronation Street), and as a consequence I missed the launch show. So a bad start. But now the blog is up and running I feel inspired to catch up. So I do.

Hi Tim, Did you find out what the actual coat was, because it's not on the All Saint's website. Would love to get one!
Posted by: Rob | 14 Jan 2008 15:44:20
Hello Stoat, sorry to hear about Mrs Stoat, hope she's on the mend. You've taken to talking like Mr. D, so you have. Anyhoo... I can't comment on the show as I haven't been watching. Not because I can't/won't watch E4, but I've never watched CBB. Enjoying reading the blog, still. See you all in the summer. P.S Loving Damages, as well. Glenn Close is my new hero.

OK, to all coat-coveters: it is from All Saints, the style is called Rochester, the colour is "Hovis", and it is currently £58.50, down from £195 in the sale. However, a lovely man from All Saints just told me you'd be lucky to find one in London as they've been flying off the shelves (even before the gorgeous Dermot wore it). In a weird coincidence, he actually served Dermot when our handsome pin-up bought the coat in question. He's lovely (we knew that right?) and quite small in height. Happy hunting!

Oh.Dear. Pity she didn't buy a coat. At least she's dyed her hair.http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/big_brother/article268589.ece

Oh dear, Daphne, just before I was going to serve up dinner for the cat and me. Anyway, I sort of admire Carole - game girl. Re her complaints about her embonpoint, may I suggest Debenhams lingerie dept., with its free and friendly bra fitting service? Or, if Carole is minted after all those 'deals' she got post BB, Rigby & Peller, corsetieres to The Queen and assorted Windsors?

Good to see you haven't lost your touch when it comes to finding apposite .jpg files, Daphne.

I bought Dermot's coat today! Practically the last one in the whole of London. Thanks a lot Tim!
