We're back

Hello all, he said talking into the void. I do hope word spreads or this could get lonely. For the Hijack, that's why we're back. I know about as much as you. Want to come along for the ride? Of course you do. We can start bitching about Ricky Gervais in that oh-so-brainy and piercing bit of comment, the Christmas Extras special. Like he said BB was shallow and stuff. The celebs and the viewers. Like us, shallow? Like, we have a case to answer? Do you think Kerry Katona's going to be on it? Who are the specially skilled people? Shallow? Like, us?

Hello!

You are not alone. I'm glad I clicked the link in my faves.

I was wondering if anyone was going to watch Hijack. I suppose I'll watch it tonight. The E4 thing could be a problem, I tend to forget digital channels exist (apart from BBC 4's brill Thunderbirds evening last night).

As for Mr Gervais, think Christmas Extras said as much about him as it does about viewers - and probably a hell of a lot more about TV commissioning types.

Hello, Lovlies. It might be a quiet blog. I read that all the contestants are super-duper clever and beautiful. Obviously all our bloggers will be on it. I, personally, can't wait to see The Stoat, HGFC,Hans etc in the flesh. Just for the record Joolz and myself WERE asked, but we're too busy. (ahem).
Didn't see much of Gerry after the BB house. Has he disappeared or am I looking in the wrong places?

The line-up has appeared, looks promising, although 'gifted' is probably a step too far for most of them. Any word on the b-listers yet?

On Extras, I actually found the show very enjoyable so long as you could stomach the 'all fame is evil' morals from 50 years ago. Like Big Brother, even if the concept is not for you, at least the execution was very good.

If I were shallow I wouldn’t know to criticise Ziggy for being the narcissistic, fame-hungry, fake big brother exposed him for. Instead I would drool over the spunky piece of man meat that he is...and maybe get distracted daydreaming about him in leather trousers...possibly...

I once read an interview with Gervais in which he said he loved watching BB because it was brilliant for observing real people and creating characters. I think it was him.

I forget about other channels too, tend to regard them as constant repeats. My husband just revels in endless channels of police camera action and Takeshi's castle. Will let E4 have a chance, and see if this new format is any good.

My mind is open.
It's nice to be back (still haven't got broadband by the way).

Daphne, greetings. Gerry and I are very happy, thanks for asking. We live in a blissful rural idyll, Gerry smashing plates and occasionally cavorting up our chicekn run in his leather trousers. Seany is still free, I understand...

Jubilate, we're back. Have missedcha'll. Best bit of Extras was the Jade Goody doll - my jaw literally dropped. The look and style of the BB part was so well observed that Ricky G must have put in the hours as a viewer - he is probably as avid as we are.

Not sure how I feel about tonight. I will give it a whirl but I would prefer to have the old stylee CBB back. Looking forward to reading everyone's news and views...

Happy New Year and Happy Days! So nice to see most (bar a few)of you back! Honestly didn't think we get anything till this summer after last years' disaster.

Watched the show tonight and love it. I must be well behind on gozz as I was expecting Davina. Not complaining mind, but have they dropped her for the gorgeous Dermot orjust saving her energies for BBSummer.

Love BBBM too. Felt quite unsettled last year with new presenter's every week. If we can't have Russell than wotsit and wotsit will do nicely.

Can't wait for the next few days to see characters coming out for real. Saying that - none but John held back on their Audition tapes - deffo arrogance and brilliance

Let the Games Begin

Great to be back though - have missed you all. Am I a Saddo?

Daphne, how rude, I completely managed to comment on BB before asking you about your hubby's recovery and if you have felt the need to murder him yet should he not have recovered by now.

Hope you're all OK X

I saw Gerry wandering around Balham looking lost just before New Years... the dress sense is no better
