Night Veronica, Night Daphne. I can't go to bed as I WILL have nightmares- that cow won. Unbelievable. Good thing I've got Codeine and Diazepam and Morphine and some wine left eh?

I can't believe Rachel won!
I don't really mind though. So what she wasn't the most "entertaining" housemate.
She will be forgotten within a week, but at least she can go back to the valleys and live her little pollyanna life buried to the knees in chickpeas, if she so wishes - it almost feels like good triumphed over evil, even if good this time was as twee as that awful *happy house* song they do that sets my teeth on edge.

But never mind, good triumphed nonetheless - Well done Rachel!!

Hi Anon - bit weird; can't you just leave a letter, any letter, so people can properly identify and abuse your post as is their wont when they disagree with you. Or vice versa if they like it but I seem to be in the 1st category so it's nice to give bloggers the chance to condemn you and your views 'personally'. Anyway, don't fret just yet. On Sunday there will be a big BBLB (i.e. Big Brother's Little Brother)at 12.00)

On top of that, most of us, bar 'cold' bloggers, like Ramona who can't be arsed with personal issues i.e. how's Daphne coping after her op; have certain people managed to cope with Rachel winning without having to resort back to alcaholism/therapy; Has Mrs. Stoat cheered up a little after receiving all these endearing pussycat YouTube Vids after suffering from her arthritis badly; did Damian drink all his bestest Brandy (and we have yet to find out his op results unless they're too personal and he can't share!); did we all finish our Doritos; has Twinkle got back safely seeing my hubby hasn't from the USA as Zoom went bust and he flew with them; Are all our torttoiseshell cats home & dry in this sodding weather

This banter usually goes on for about a week though we always mean for it to go on longer; at the end of the day (how cliche) BB is the be all and end all topic of this blog - you're right at that Ramona!

But don't worry, rumours of Celeb BB are rife and Tim might be able to enlighten us on the yay or nay and any dates and then it'll all start again. Bit like a family reunion I suppose.

I know it's a horrid and empty feeling at first, especially for BB widows like Jacynth and myself whoms other halves loathe BB so you can't rant and rave - That's why this blog is a saviour, but life races past and before you know it, one BB or another comes along. Don't despair!

I have a huge cat problem and sincerely hope you can help; all you cat loving Bloggers.

My stepmom in Holland went on a 3 week hols in the USA 1 week ago leaving dad to look after Sam, the resue cat they got in May this year. They have left the cat before but in that case her mum came to look after him at Sam's house and that went well.

As my dad is elderly he's planned to stay at my brother's for a week and Sam was going to stay at Stepmum's Mum in another town this time. When dad took him over in his basket and unloaded him first before his toys etc. only to find Sam outside his cage. Sam really gets violent when being picked up so he escaped.

To make a long story short; cat's disappeared in a town he doesn't know; an address he's never been at; he's too big to be picked up by stepmum's mum if he were to show up and they live in an old-people's complex so they haven't got a garden or anything and any stranger taking pity on a stray would have their eyes clawed out on picking him up. He hasn't got any ID but a Chip.

Any suggestions on how to get the beast in these difficult circumstances? I felt awful for dad coz, rather than lying to Nel for the next 2 weeks he feels he has to inform her the truth, which, to be honest I would like to know. When I was away for one week it wasn't till after he found my cat he dared inform me she had been trapped behind a cupboard for a whole day! He'd arranged a huge rescue/search mission to no avail, was about to ring me when he heard a feeble mioauw and found her. Bar informing all the vets around is there anythin else you/dad can do that you know off?

Aha - I was right! I thought that Lisa's face last night looked even odder than usual, but I put it down to my tired and emotional state. But it wasn't the chardonnay - both she and Mario had botox and 'fillers' before last night's BB finale. And Nicole had her teeth bleached!

Oh Lianne, I realy feel for you. Our former cat would sometimes take herself off for an extended wander and the worry of it must have taken years off my life - though of course I won't know how many till I drop dead suddenly, possibly next week...anyway, (a) it's a great help that Sam's chipped, and (b) the local vets have been informed; I would also enquire at the local police station - a friend of ours used to be a policeman and it's surprising how many people still think that stray cats and dogs have to be reported to/handed in to the police; also, if there's a post office nearby it's worth mentioning it to the postmaster, who, if he's sympathetic, will mention to his customers that a cat has gone missing and ask them to tip your dad off if it's seen.

Other than that there's putting pictures of Sam on lamp posts etc with a contact phone number - don't know whether that's permissible in Holland.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. It does sound as though Sam's a big strong cat so as long as he stays away from busy roads he should be OK until he's found.

Posted by: The Stoat | 6 Sep 2008 10:23:32

Don't worry, Gabsy, the Botox will wear off and eventually their faces will droop like the rest of us. But until then they will be expressionless zombies. What, do these people think they can put off old age indefinitely? It's ridiculous. And i don't want to see Nicole's teeth in any state. I'd rather I didn't see her at all.

Lianne, I'm sorry, I don't know what you can do, but cats have an amazing ability to find their way home, so it's worth checking your parents' house just in case. I don't know how far it is but my cat used to travel a couple of miles to get back to our old house, and cats have been known to travel hundreds of miles back to their home. Don't worry. Put up some posters in both towns. I hope your husband has made it home, anyway. If not, get him tagged and chipped too.

So Rachel won – a triumph for pink fluffy bunnies. Before I go I would like to give a shout-out to all us ‘cold’ bloggers (see Lianne’s description/criteria above) - Wendy, Dolly Mixtures, Zoffin, Kara, Magneto, Eva, Scared Eyes, Moob, Smarty, Sopwith, Fluffy, OTH (forgive me if you consider yourself a ‘hot’ blogger - according to Lianne’s criteria/the level of response with which your posts are met).

Go us.

Oh Lianne, that's tricky. Has the cat been microchipped? If so, if he's found and scanned, then the owners will be informed. Other things you can do: tell all veterinary practices in the vicinity. Also, ahem, local council refuse collection departments - not nice thing to say, but if cats get run over and killed, often they're picked up by refuse collectors. Tell the local Police too - I once lost a cat and six weeks later, the Police came and told me she'd been found (dead, but at least I knew). Also, inform local RSPCA, and the wonderul CPL (Cats' Protection League). You could also print a load of flyers, if you have a pic. of the puss, and circulate them in the neighbourhood. I really hope you find the errant pusscat.

Meanwhile, I am still choked at the BB result. So's my son, and he's quite sensible.

Thanks for advice on Sam all of you. Still no news but, like you say, cats are tough cookies and hopefully he'll make his way home. Good idea ringing the Police. As you say, Gabs, at least you'll know even if he's gone.

Love the idea of getting hubby chipped, Jessica. Put a tracker on him so I have time to throw the toyboys out.

BTW Maude, didn't mean to upset anyone bar Ramona with my 'cold' blogger comments. I'm still pretty pissed off the way she lay into me for caring and mentioning other topics bar BB on this blog. She felt I used the blog as a personal shrink which is a load of bollocks. As I mentioned then; when you exchange blogs with the same people over many years it seems quite natural personal subjects come up and some advice being sought from time to time.

So Hot/Cold/Neutral etc. untill we meet again . . . . .

Posted by: Lianne | 7 Sep 2008 15:36:03

Lianne I always love your blogs they are "long" but they are insightful. Dont let the buggars grind you down.

I will miss everyone and there are obviously some bloggers who dont blog justview our comments and then stick their oar in, at the last minute, or if one of our boys appear on BBBM....I think we know who we are. I love to hear about the personal lives of the regulars. Its great fun to use your imagination thinking about what the person is like and their lives.

Until seleb BB - I might take myself down to Damien's reading night in Bab house... why dont we all go there in cognito.?
