Lucy Out!

I love that not one of the slebs recognised Nikki 'the skinny little girl'.  She was appalled at not being recognised.  Ah, the fickleness of fame.  Barrymore wasn't even noticed. 'Who is Michael Barrymore?' demanded Coolio. Who indeed?

Am sipping champagne and hoping Lucy gets the boot.  So much for the bust with deeply held right-wing beliefs.

Love that everyone hates Coolio.  Ulrika is going to put him in the naughty corner soon: 'please give some consideration to people who are nto as crazy as you.' That would be everyone else.  BTW, is Ben still in there?  I hear a six stone beaver is loose in Devon.

Celebrity Condiments on Ice was great.  La Toya looked like a crazed Dalek and Tommy really got into it. Did you see his hairy back when he was half out of the suit?  There was this strange hairless V extending down from the nape and then a thick pelt.  Someone needs to mow the lawn.  What 'panic' was La Toya talking about?

First out: Lucy!  Smart of Ulrika to hide her face during the moment.  Suprisingly, Ulrika got 43% of the vote.  Is that surprising? I was surprised.  Could I use the word surprise any more?

PS Violet laid her 3rd egg today--three in one week!

I saw the back! I saw his hairy back!

Totally nauseating!

Wow. Lucy's out. I was worried for a while that Ulrika-ka-ka would go, but am relieved she's survived to fight another day. It'll be worth it just to see her do the 'disapproving mum' look at Coolio.

By the way, I've read this blog for years and this is the first time I've ever contribued (apart from a couple of years ago when, in a fit of excitement on the final night, I made a comment about Carole's hair). So hello to Damian, Gabrielle, Lianne, HGFC, The Stoat and everyone. I feel like I already know you (hopefully not in a stalkerish way)

One final thing, what was La Toya on about with her eyes?

Posted by: Koober | 9 Jan 2009 22:06:12

Well, welcome Koober. Welcome indeed in a non-stalkerish way.

Yes, look at the war in my eyes. Was La Toya talking about her nose fighting aesthetically with her eyes? A subtle clash between eye-lash colour and eye-liner? Or some inner mentalness we can butguess at?

HGFC what sort of hamsters are they? Between them and my chickens we're being borderline revoltingly cute. When you can spare a second from nursing the hammies do drop us a line...

Posted by: Damian Barr | 9 Jan 2009 22:23:08

Darn. I always fancied having a stalker.

'War' was re Lucy who was wearing a camoflage hat. What a cr*p code.....

Posted by: HGFC | 9 Jan 2009 23:02:16

Greetings Koober! I think I might remember that Carole post actually. And feel free to do a spot of stalking if you like...I'm not proud. I like the idea of being the subject of a South Bank Show documentary, with loopy fans being interviewed and saying, 'Oh The Stoat...it's like we're just space cadets and he's The Commander'. That sort of thing. Anyway, please do keep posting as the more the merrier and it livens up the blog!

LaToya's funny because every bit of her, considered as an individual component, is perfectly formed; it's just that the pieces don't quite fit together as an ensemble. And I had the TV sound turned down low to take a phone call and thought she was talking about the WHORE in her eyes - well you know how wispy and breathy her voice is - and it just added to my confusion. Oh dear...

Posted by: The Stoat | 9 Jan 2009 23:03:55

I've really warmed to this bunch of zelebs - hell, it's been really quite funny at times this week.

So many real chuckle moments from Ulrikkka & Verne's song to La Toya's weird 'marriage' and 'war' in her eyes.

Coolio's turning into the obligatory bunny boiler; Tina's just being foul mouthed and looking rough (who says she's an actor?)

It's gone back to what CBB should be - odd zelebs being themseleves without any add on chav rubbish.

Happy days.

And am glad Lucy went cos Ulrikkka has much more to offer..........not sure what, but something!

I love men who feel the need to keep small-to-medium pets. My brother once had some gerbils (black and white ones, very rare) one of which then died after about a week. The only time I've ever seen him cry, as he cupped the tiny rodent in his hands.
I hope that last comment wasn't horribly inappropriate re: the hamsters, and that they are all squeaking blindly round their mother in full hamsterish health.
I'm bored. i don't think Lucy will say anything interesting, and am considering turning over to Live at the Apollo.
Welcome Koober, there is always room for one more in this generous blogfamiglia. And don't worry, Damian's stalking is really quite benign, it's more of a comforting presence than a threat. And he hasn't got much time for staking out your house now that he's a chicken-dad.

Ooh oooh - not that I was waiting for someone to ask - dwarf Roborovski's, Damian. Happy to be in pairs. But we weren't quite expecing a boy/girl pair. Or pups. Wee ones are about 2cm long now (three weeks old) and rushing around like mad things. Cute as a bunny with a teddy bear.

Anyhow, Lucy came across well, don't we think? I even looked her in the eyes during the interview...

Posted by: HGFC | 9 Jan 2009 23:05:13

Hang on Damian, you asked about the Hamsters without putting up the post in which I mentioned them. People we'll think we're twunts!

Posted by: HGFC | 9 Jan 2009 23:05:30

Congrats to you and Violet!

Posted by: Becca Giotta | 12 Jan 2009 10:08:35

Or did I mention Hamsters on another thread? Darn this chea Cava....

Posted by: HGFC | 12 Jan 2009 10:08:36

Hello Koober, Welcome to our silly lot. Quite cool to be stalked in a nice way but keep on contributing now you've started!

Been quite quiet the last week but it really genuinely is because I'm so spaced out after the op and the amount of pain killers I feel the need to take (note the 'I feel the need') I have to record everything as I find that a program I start to watch at 8 p.m. I'm still watching at midnight as I keep passing out. So glad you keep me informed though!

Bit of a bugger in a way as I'm sort of aware Lucy's out but failed to record the interview. Was it any good? Also have a weeks' worth of BBLB and BBBM (bar the one with our Tim)to catch up on.

Will try harder next week X

Sorry Damian, forgot to congratulate you on your beautiful girls. I do get a slight sense of favoritism where Violet is concerned. I know she's doing great and she's the prettiest but give the others a chance - not a complex!

Tommy's back!

HGFC, if you need babysitting for your weeny hamsters while you and Mrs. HGFC go out on the lash, my cat said she'd be more than willing.

Talking of hamsters, (no I've still not watched CBB), we had a dwarf one. One day I realised I hadn't heard her, so investigating I found her lying motionless and stiff. This happened to the second one, both in the winter. The other week I learnt that they hibernate, when they do they go stiff - like they are dead.

Never mind horror films I'm now traumatised thinking I've buried the Daphne Jnrs' beloved pets while they were still alive.

Hello Koober, nice to have you here espeially if you wrote something horrible about Carole - not that you could possible find anything nice about her. I read on DS that she was arrested the other week for knocking off a policemans helmet. It was probably at a demo for Free The Tibetian Giant Snail, or some such.

Posted by: Daphne | 12 Jan 2009 10:10:49

I had that happen to me Daphne: found the hamster cold and stiff at the bottom of his cage, thought ah, well at least he had a good innings...packed him up in a little eco-friendly coffinette (cardboard loo roll), tucked it into my jacket and headed off to Hampstead Heath to bury him. When I was half way there the warmth of my body revived him, and I had to run home with a very angry hamster wriggling about in my pocket and giving me nasty nips. Since then I've avoided the rodent family when it comes to choosing pets.

Posted by: The Stoat | 12 Jan 2009 11:54:50

Chipmunks! them's proper rodenty pets. We had 2 but one met with an unhappy end courtesy of resident sylvester type cat. I think the other executed a Steve McQueen in Colditz escape. Not on a motorbike but more the digging a tunnel type runner. Very clever and under rated are chipmunks. Anyway back to CBB - time to chuck in someone new I wonder?

Posted by: Bernie G | 12 Jan 2009 14:01:11

I've got rats. Not as cute furry pets but big hulking bastards that come in the house sometimes and eat the cat's food. Professional rat catcher put down poison but they seem to thrive on it. The cat's terrified of them.
