The stars of Twilight revealed

100708_twilightbanner_th Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series of books, about the forbidden Romeo & Juliet romance between a vampire boy and a wholesome young human girl, have a powerful cult following among(mainly) young, and young-at-heart American women.

Controversially, the most recent book in the series has ben spiked after an inadvertent internet leak led to an early manuscript being downloaded by thousands of eager Meyer fans who couldn't wait for the finished article.

The movie adaptation, has been far off the traditional critical radar that it's had very little press, and was missed off our list of the 50 biggest blockbuster movies of the year but is now expected to be one of the surprise movie hits of the winter.

The first sight of young lovers Edward and Bella is in the poster below : click for a super-sized version. I don't pretend to be part of the Twilight demographic. Do Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson look convincing? Let me know in the comments.

Twilight sucked very much. I do not mean to offend any fans of the movie. I loved the book hate the movie. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson seem to have a difficult time acting. I thought the whole movie was a joke. There was no chemistry between the actors. I mean seriously did the actors really read the book? As I was watching the movie it was like watching robots reading lines, and bella was not emo in the book and edward, I wont even go there. The movie was a total joke to me. Harry potter movies are way much better, and trust me i have not read any of the harry potter books ever. In the end i say stop making twilight movies it will kill the book. Some books are not meant to be films.

i didn't know about the book series until after watching the film. I enjoyed the film so much (i thought rob and kristen acted really well, and i loved the way it was shot, murky and blue) i don't know what 'Yvonne' is on about, i really hope, and it's basically certain that they continue to make the other books into films. The film made me read the books. And now i am a twilight fan (not the scary kind though) =)

Heyy I really liked the move... wen I first heard about is I wasn't so into it but asoon as I watched the movie I had to get the bookes.... I really think they could have followed the book more but it don't matter it was awsome... I really like how Robert Pattinson played his part he did it really well and Kristen Stewart did a awsome job ... so bring on New Moon have fun guys xoxo

I agree with Yvonne to some extent. The movie was okay, but it was incredibly awkward to watch. Robert and Kristen seemed to lack so much chemistry and the dialogue was so unreal (more so on Kristens part, I think Robert done a lot better) - "robots reading lines". They over-emphasized everything, especially Bella being an introvert, they made her look like she couldn't string two words together in the movie, whereas the book made her more feisty and less like an antisocial mute of a robot.

Overall, the movies ambience and priorities were a lot different to that of the book. And it totally made me cringe all the way through, I still enjoyed it, a bit...

I really like all the books but I havn't seen the film yet... :(

I love the books. The movie was okay. I think Robet and Kristen are good actors, but were directed badly. I hope the next one is better because Catherine Hardwick is not directing it.

I saw the advert for the Film and thought the idea was brill, and even though its been labeled a girls book i gave it a read. and i read it, and then i gotnew moon and eclipse and breaking dawn at the same time, and read them all and then watched twilight.

Firstly i have to say it has a ace soundtrack, that being said as with any book the film is never as good, but the film was still good. The thing is books bring out your imagination and the film takes that away for a little groups idea of what it is like. I enjoyed the film alot, but at the end of the day the book was better and i doubt anyone will be able to make the films better than the books. For example never thought Emertt would be like that hes seems to seriouse in the film and Jasper and alice, well i never imaged them like that so overall i think the films are alot better.

Ps. The lass that plays Bella is also beautiful, its gonnabe hard for them to make her look better than that ;)

New moon should be intresting heard they sticking with the same jacob.... dont know how they gonn apull that off, edward is shorter than jacob in new moon should be intresting :)

i saw the movie before i read the books but still, i fell in love with it. after reading the books (which i couldnt put down) i realized that they left out alot of the best moments in the movie. i was really upset. still i love them boith and i REALL REALLY hope that stephanie will finish wrighting midnight sun. i know she didnt want her fans to read it but i did. i read it before i heard all the info about it. that doesnt stop me from hoping that she will see that her fans need her to finish. for me, when reading twilight, i thought edward was kinda negative and he didnt really love bella because thats how bella portrayed it but when reading from edwards POV i realized that there is alot of things that bella didnt know and i was thrilled to better understand edward!!! i hope stephanie will finish and maybe do another for new moon and eclipese... but i know thats pushing my luck. at the very lease finish midnight sun!!!

Cant wait for new moon to be out in theatres i love taylor lautner and im so glad they kept him as jacob!!! i and team jacob but only for me, bella is better with edward lol.

The film is amazing, I hired it out to watch at first, took it back and bought it straight away. Watched it every night for weeks still has the same breathtaking effect as it did first time. Bought the 2nd 3rd and 4th books. Took me two days to read new moon, couldn't put it down, was waking up in middle of night to read it. Storyline's great, although theres not a lot of Edward in it can't wait for the movie. Unlike a lot of others I havent read the 'midnight sun' and all threw twilight was dying to know things from Edwards point of view. The mystery behind those eyes is intense, I just have to know what he's thinking. PLEASE PLEASE Stephanie finish 'Midnight sun'. I am as Bella would say "unconditionally and irevicably in love with Edward Cullen" I am a 31 year old mother of two and have written stories before now, but nothing ever as good as this. And Robert Pattinson is so definately the best guy to play Edward. I will just have to keep dreaming that I am Bella. Sounds sad for a 31 year old mother I know but who cares, what joy do we get in our lives but our 'own little world'. WOW keep it coming please, I'm dying to see more.
