Star Trek: Guess who's back?

This new cut of the Star Trek trailer introduces a short clip of an old friend. Looking more and more like his dad, Sarek, old future Spock is back to show the young (slightly less future) Spock the way to save the Federation.

The fact that Leonard Nimoy was going to be in JJ Abrams's new take on thevenerable sci-fi classic was fairly well-known, but to actually see everybody's favourite half-Vulcan back in action is still an extra little thrill.

How did I miss old Spock the first 10 times I watched the trailer?

This trailer reminded me of the opening to "Austin Powers: Goldmember," i.e. an over-hyped, sensationalized version of an original movie-- but which lacked a critical element: Kirk's MOJO, BABY! YEAH!

My appearance in the trailer depends on your frame of mind when you watch the 5th picosecond of the 6th frame.

I agree with James T. Powers: no Kirk's MOJO, no big movie, no big field in box

not into all the bs , I mean I grew up watching the original and these kids look like they'd get picked up by Micheal Jackson, not bitch slap a Klingon. But I'll reserve judgment till I see this flick, by which I mean (pirate off the internet).

Awesome! A flash-forward? How does that work?

Oh well, good to see Nimoy back onboard the Star Trek Bandwagon.
