Graham brings Hatton to the end of the road

Ricky Hatton's trainer, Billy Graham, believe that tonight's bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr could be his last.

If Hatton beats Mayweather, Graham believes, he would have nothing left to strive for in the ring and he would be happy to see the Mancunian walk away from the sport.

"When Ricky has got enough glory and I'm sure his ego will be satisfied when he beats Floyd the only thing to gain after that is money," Graham said. "If you've got enough money why risk everything.

"Ricky has got another career ahead of him. His career doesn't end when he hangs up his gloves. He has got a career in TV, as a celebrity or whatever you like. Just like Henry Cooper before him.

"It is a personal thing, but I would be happy for him to retire put it that way. But how can you expect a man to retire from his job when he is the best and at his peak."

Graham has been Hatton's trainer since the two-weight world champion turned professional at 18. "There is nobody who will miss him more than me,"Graham said. "Plus I've got a financial interest as well so no one who will miss it more than me.

"After the fight and finished and I've won, I might think to myself 'the hunger's not there anymore, I can't achieve more,' but I wont know that until it happens."
