MGM Grand start time

The first bell for Ricky Hatton's bout withe Paulie Malignaggi will be no earlier than 3.25am (GMT) and no later than 4am (7.25pm-8pm local time), according to HBO who are screening the bout in the United States. The bout will be screened in the UK on Sky Box Office.

It means an earlier start time that the Joe Calzaghe-Roy Jones Jr bout in New York a fortnight ago. That was on HBO pay-per-view and there were four bouts, including the main event, as part of the telecast. All of them went the distance, meaning the action in the big fight did not get underway until nearly midnight (5am GMT).

The referee for the bout is Kenny Bayless and the three judges are all American: Jerry Roth, Duane Ford and Glenn Trowbridge.
