The risk all boxers live with

The new year started in the worst possible way with the death in South Korea of Yo Sam Choi, the former WBA light-flyweight champion, after a bout against Heri Amol in Seoul on Christmas Day. Choi was knocked down in the twelfth round of the contest and got up to win on points before collapsing as the result was announced. It was a timely reminder, as if one was needed, of what boxers risk for our entertainment.
