John Simpson did a BBC programme on Saddam's lookalikes in which it was suggested that Galloway met with a double.

Oh, come on. Everyone's shaken hands with Galloway. I can claim that he once pinched my lighter (St Dunstan's & Stepney Green ward by-election count, July 2004). So I've had a lighter stolen by the man who stole some bath towels* from the man who stole Kuwait. Ha! Beat that.
*or whatever

What stories those hands could tell. From Saddam to Rula Lenska...

Well, if we're talking Rula Lenska, I have shaken hands with my sister's fiance who has Rula Lenska for a godmother and has certainly shaken hands with her.

I once shared a urinal (at a M1 service station) with Jimi Hendrix. We didn't shake hands, but we used the same hand drier.

Then just make sure you don't shake hands with Donald Rumsfeld.

I can get to Saddam via Natan Sharansky, who shook hands with Sharon, who shook hands with Tony Blair, who shook hands with Arafat (probably the next day), who some years ago shook hands with Saddam.
Saddam of course shook hands with Fidel Castro in the late seventies, and he shook hands with Che Guevara.
