Tony Blair on Ruth Turner 2007:
Ruth is a person of the highest integrity for whom I have great regard and I continue to have complete confidence in her
William Hague on Jeffrey Archer 1999:
This candidate is a candidate of probity and intergity - I am going to back him to the hilt

Typical clumsy Tory attempt at a smear. I guess innocent until proven guilty only applies to people who don't work for Labour.
I'm sure I can find loads of quotes about the importance of family life and a sound economy from Margaret Thatcher and Adolf Hitler which I could juxtapose in an attempt to make a cheap point, but that would make only me look like a clever, clever little Sixth-former as well. Tories like Danny still haven't got over the fact that Labour has won three General Elections so they make cheap shots whenever they can. What they will sink to when Labour is elected to a fourth term doesn't bear thinking about.
Let us not forget that Danny's party was the one that was riddled with crooks whose criminality was proved by the courts and who actually spent time inside (despite cynically getting family members to perjure themselves). We should take no smarmy comments from Tories when it comes to sleaze and corruption - they wrote the damn book.
