The joy of wikipedia
Unlike, say, Oliver Kamm I rather like Wikipedia. Yes, some of the entries are biased. Yes, mistakes are made. But despite its faults I find it invaluable. The richness of information on social psychology topics, for instance, is very impressive.
I suppose Wikipedia's detractors could make something of the fact that when Recess Monkey posted his false story of Margaret Thatcher's death, someone altered her entry to add a date of passing.
I prefer to point out that the date of passing was removed after little more than an hour despite the fact that the original change was made at 1.47 in the morning.
