From Wikipedia to Wookiepedia, and beyond...

Chewbacca_in_london_2Following my post yesterday on how Star Wars fans dominate Wikipedia, I’ve been informed that Star Wars fans have set up an online encyclopaedia of their own: Wookiepedia.

So I started doing some research, and it turns out sci-fi fans have being creating little wikipedias all over the place. Dizzy has already upped the geeky stakes by posting on Lostpedia – a wiki site about the infuriatingly addictive and ridiculous TV show.

I’ve also found Trekpedia, but as that’s a site currently under construction, you might prefer PlanetAlpha, a more developed Star Trek wiki. There’s Matrixpedia, for all you Matrix fans. And if you’re more of a general sci-fi lover, there’s Scifipedia. Hurrah!

But geeks come in all guises. I’ve found the Wikible – the biblical encyclopedia. Conservapedia – for those who are annoyed at Wikipedia’s "liberal" tendency of publishing facts, you can now have facts with a conservative bias.

Surely though, the nerdiest, most obscure Wiki ever is HabeasWiki, a wiki site focused on the practice of habeas corpus law in the United States. Fabulous stuff. If you can find something more arcane, let me know.
