I cannot help feeling that Richartd Dawkins is a more effective crusader on behalf of evolutionary biology than for atheism. I lived in England for 20 years, until 2003, and think that while most of the English have little or no interest in what one might call the mythological aspects of Christianity, they still respect the framework of moral values it fosters. The English are as much a people of instinct as of reason. Richard Dawkins is pre-eminently a rationalist.
