Blair was fine for the first 5 or 6 years then the Iraq War put question marks against him: other problem areas and question marks followed. That is about right for most jobs - the first 5 years or so are the best then people become stale.
Get out at the top when people want just that bit more is the best advice. That applies to most jobs.

#9 - "Blair's Technicolor Dreamcoat" had me at "Iclosed my eyes". Nothing like cheesey sature about a cheesey administration with an ultimate cheesey song.
Blair seemed to show promise. He just fell in with the wrong crowd when Boy George took over on this side of the pond.
