Blessed are the cheesemakers
My favourite fact of the last 12 months appeared in The Times this morning.
Apparently 52 per cent of senior figures in the dairy industry believe that this Government "is actively anticheese".
This amazing piece of information is one of a number that adorn an article that you couldn't make up.

"The idea that cheese is somehow a junk food is not only laughable but deeply damaging as we position British cheeses alongside the traditionally strong brands from the Continent."
Like Roquefort?

The Italian cheese "Tallegio" is fast disappearing from supm's shelfs. The reason is its strong unsociable smell and yet few know it's fantastic qualities as a grilled cheese,it miraculously looses it,s pugnacity to become a lovely and sweet cheese on toast probably the best, it does not dry and harden under the grill .Buon appetito Jiacomino
