Is he bovvered?
My favourite moment at PMQs came when Lib Dem MP Richard Younger Ross (not a candidate for a Government of all the talents) asked a long, boring, pointless and complicated question about the relationship between church and state. Mr Blair rose, paused for a moment or two and then said:
I think I’m really not bothered about that one
and sat down.
I bet this idea came up as someone's joke during PMQ prep and then, as he was standing up, he thought what the hell.
You might have thought the question was 'long, boring, pointless and complicated' but if there'd been more of a separation between theology and government in the mind of Tony Blair, an awful lot of people might still be alive today.

It speaks volumes about Tony Blair that he couldn't be bothered to answer one of the most important questions facing our country.
It is regrettable that the person chosen to deliver the question had not the wit to do it with the aplomb and gravitas it demanded.
