Arnie terminates the drug question

Arnold_1Questions of a drug-using past have long bedevilled American politicians. Who can forget Bill Clinton's famous declaration that he smoked but didn't inhale? Or the Obama riposte: "When I was a kid, I inhaled. That was the point."

Well now Arnold Schwarzenegger has come up with a whole new line in substance spin: the horticultural explanation.

When asked by GQ about pictures of him smoking cannibis, the Terminator replied:

That is not a drug. It's a leaf.

With those parsing abilities, it's almost a shame the man can't run for President.

I think he's taken 'leaf' of his senses!

Or his line from Kindergarten Cop:

"It's nat a tumah"

Yeah and opium is not a drug its a flower....classic twisted logic from someone who has done too many bucket bongs in their earlier years Arnie....the next stage is paranoid schizophrenic!

If Arnie were smoking the marijuana leaf, then he left the best part for someone else. The cola or bud or flower is what most people smoke. The leaf is good for making paper, but not for smoking.

Are you experienced???

Dow Chemical helped to make marijuana illegal so they could outlaw hemp ropes and sell their new, nylon ropes. Can you say Reefer Madness?

I believe Arnold said he was just making a joke. But, in any event, he did make serious points that we ought to be more concerned with our politicians making good decisions for us, rather than whether they smoked marajuana in their youth. Arnold has also openly and candidly admitted to smoking marajuana in the past (see, e.g., his commentary on the "Pumping Iron" dvd. And by the way, Michael, one doesn't smoke or injest opium flowers to get high-- the plant has to be processed into a drug first.

Danahan, who says that the internet is open? This forum is hosted by a major publishing company, what do you expect? If you want a totally free forum, there are millions of them out there.
In view of the amount of brainless and offensive rubbish that gets through onto these forums, I for one would love to see the stuff that gets cut out.

Hey, light up dudes--er, uh, I mean 'lighten up guys'.

Jean Booth has got the right idea!

If Whoopi or John Cleesh had said the same thing you'd be ROTFLYAO.
