What does Obama do at the gym?

Obama_basketball Everyone knows that Obama likes to work out. But his three gym sessions on Tuesday set the blogosphere abuzz.

Here are the conspiracy theories behind such excessive exercise:

1) He's secretly meeting VP candidates.

Up cropped speculation that these workouts were not exactly physical — the only people sweating were potential vice-presidential candidates in the hot seat.

2) He's worried about being the skinniest candidate in history

Maybe he's trying to bulk up! Seriously, physicality is an important psychological factor, and Obama's kind of a string bean.

3) It's all an elaborate ploy to make McCain seem old

In apparent effort to highlight McCain's age, Obama hits gym for 188 minutes

And last but certainly not least...

4) He does it because, well, yes he can

You heard it here first, folks: the Obamacle does not secrete water and chlorides through his epidermis. He has no need for thermoregulation. Ever. Basketball. Vice presidential interviews. Whatever. He's like a walking block of ice. That never melts.

So there you go. All clear. Feel free to pop any further theories on a postcard.
