A new economic battle

Krugman_and_bush_2Well, we all need some downtime in this financial crisis. And for economic bloggers it's arrived in the form of a caption contest.

Freakonomics fans are going head-to-head with Marginal Revolution readers to see who can come up with the best caption for this photo. What were President Bush and Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman talking about?

Here's my favourite (from Freakonomics):

So then I said to Cheney “Duh! Piece-wise continuous functions are ALWAYS Reimann integrable, so just invert the matrix and use a polynomial distributed lag to eliminate the heteroskedasticity! What a lightweight!”

You can see the Marginal Revolution contenders here.

Paul Krugman himself will deliver the final judgment. Let blogging battle commence.
