A new blog for writers
Bad case of writer's block? Then head on over to Daily Routines for some inspiration.
This instantly bookmarkable blog charts the daily grind of literary greats. My favourite description comes from Arthur Miller:
I wish I had a routine for writing. I get up in the morning and I go out to my studio and I write. And then I tear it up! That's the routine, really. Then, occasionally, something sticks. And then I follow that. The only image I can think of is a man walking around with an iron rod in his hand during a lightning storm.
But Truman Capote's relaxed approach to putting pen to paper isn't bad either:
I am a completely horizontal author. I can't think unless I'm lying down, either in bed or stretched on a couch and with a cigarette and coffee handy.
