Jeb Bush for Senate
The conservative modernisers in the Republican party need leadership. Could Bush provide help?
Not George. Jeb.
Rumours abound that the former Governor is contemplating a run for the Senate.
And he has given an interview expressing the view that while the Republicans must remain conservative, they need to be more diverse, more positive, and less partisan.
While, for obvious reasons, he is hardly the perfect Presidential candidate, he is an impressive man. Much more articulate than his brother. When a real push for reform comes, Jeb in the senate could help bring conservatives round.
I have no idea where people get the idea that Jeb was or is popular in Florida. I have never seen such poll results. This "legend in his own mind" is best appreciated far far away with no chance of returning to Florida's soil.
