Create your own national week competition

Calendar

Have you got your diary on you?

Prompted by a telephone call informing me that next week is Global Entrepreneurship Week - and brought up short by the fact that I had come within a whisker of missing it - Comment Central has undertaken research to ensure that such a thing never happens again.

Here are some of the year's highlights:

24 Jan, Farmhouse Breakfast Week

30 Jan, National Storytelling Week

1 Feb, National Salt Awarness Week

8 Feb, National Marriage Week

15 Feb, National Chips Week (as in potatoes not the Californian highway patrol)

12 March, National Science and Engineering Week

3 April – 3 May, National Pet Month

26 April, Noise Action Week

1 May, National Windsurfing Week

8 May, National Doughnut Week

16 May, British Sandwich Week

19 May, Be Nice to Nettles Week

17 May, Walk to School Week

4 July, National Transplant Week

18 October, National Baking Week

2 November, National Pathology Week

22 November, National Curry Week

The scheduling leaves something to be desired.

I feel that Salt Awareness Week should come after National Chips Week. And it is a shame that Gordon Brown may no longer be Prime Minister for National Pathology Week.

I also feel as if CC readers should be able to come up with some better ideas for a national week.

A CC prize (example: a signed picture of Geoff Hoon) for the person who comes up with the best new National Week.
