Quiz: how green are you?
This questionnaire doesn’t take long to fill in – you have to register first and then Global Action Plan, the campaigning organization behind it, will email you a link to get to it. At the end you get a report, suggesting ways you could improve.
I got 60 per cent - not great for a professional eco-worrier. Obviously it’s not the most accurate way of assessing your greenability (I like to think) but while filling it in I did realize which areas I should do more in. I’m good at rubbish and shopping; much worse at knowing whether our boiler has a jacket on to save heat and whether we have cavity wall insulation. Let me know your scores.

I had problems filling the questionnaire in. The page kept freezing, but eventually I got there, with a score of 53 per cent. I lost marks because I drive my beloved volkswagon and have a soft spot for a centrally heated home. How can I stay warm and comfy in the winter without resorting to lots of central heating?

On plastic bag packaging and your comment that Ocado delivery will take back the bags you don't want. The drivers who deliver from Tesco-on-line will take back as many plastic bags as you wish to give them.
Also, the Biodegradable type used by my local shop (name preserved to avoid shaming it) have a nasty habit of degrading as one leaves the counter; generally after being loaded with expensive items, such as wine! Beware such "Green traps"!

It is better not to have used the plastic bags in the first place, whether supermarket home delivery people take them back or not, it is still a huge amount of plastic that didn't need to be used.

What do they do with them when they take them back, anyway? I've never been given a second hand plastic bag at tesco

73% (smug grin)
Funnily, the quiz didn't ask about local/seasonal food which is probably the biggest single improvement you can make to your lifestyle.

Just got a grand total of 67% - what kind of pathetic result is that for a professional greenie?! Anyway, I'm with Anna - I'm consoling myself with the knowledge that this questionnaire is simply asking me the wrong questions.... Like what about my beloved eco fashion and natural beauty products? How about my rather stylish organic cotton bedlinen? And what about the sinliest of all green sins - gluttony - I mean surely anyone eating American sized portions should drop of the bottom of the score board!!!
