Clutching the middle-class lifeboat

Flintoff

For some time now I've been watching the extremely interesting films put out by Peak Moment, on how we might change our ways to address the combined threats of climate change, peak oil and credit crunch.

The films are not short, and they're hardly action packed, but they're thought provoking. I strongly recommend this one, Middle Class Lifeboat... it discusses many of the jobs that might not last, how certain hobbies could become additional sources of income, and - among many other things - how many of us are already joining and setting up our own barter networks.

Any clothes made without fur, leather and other animal biproducts are fine with me. It's fashionable and ethical to don clothes that are cruelty free.
