Knights Templars innocent - latest

It seems that some yawning 17c monk put a document in the wrong file in the Vatican Archives, and ever since then people have thought the Knights Templars (as featured in the absurd Da Vinci Code and Indiana Jones) were cursed and excommunicated.  Now somebody has found it, and the Vatican is publishing a book Processus Contra Templarios which reveals the warrior monks as goodies.  Or, at least, not blasphemous.  This may be welcome news to  Freemasons, some of whose rituals are drawn from the Templar legend.  If you want a really confusing five minutes, there's a man in a black hat on Youtube muttering about the connection.  The official Mason site is here, however, and talks down any religious aspect of the organization.
