Mother Earth in Bolivia
Llama foetuses, burnt offerings and simple faith in La Paz: a rivetingly detailed report from the BBC's James Ingham about the (largely Catholic) people of Bolivia who alongside the newer religion hold on to an ancient devotion to Earth herself as a goddess. Indigenous and Christian beliefs have fused together here as both God and Pachamama or Mother Earth are worshipped by the Aymara people, who pre-date the Incas.

The Native American Indian spiritualism bury their breathless dead and give them to Mother (Earth)
It is a blessing, also the Trinitarian Monks give the flesh back to the Earth - Mother!!
Makes sense!!
