After a man's anger at God caused him to drive a minivan into a church here are some other blame games between man and God.
2. Man ‘angry at God’ drives into church
3.Man accused of killing and eating girlfriend blames God
4. Man marries daughter claiming divine sanction
Satan doesn't get off lightly however: Mum blames Satan for husband microwaving their child
The man who sued God only did his action to show the absurdity of a God, from what I heard of that story. I may stand correct though.
The others where just lunatic theists. And that seems to be a recurring trend. I rarely catch looney atheists around the clinic, but I do often catch people who are schizophrenic in a religious way. Schizophrenia is categorized by deep delusions and oddly enough they often times are religious delusions. It doesn't matter which religion..some claim they have a direct line with jesus and he told them to do something nutty like flip their friends tv out the window yet others claim to have direct visions of their past lives in a hindu-esque reincarnation sense.
Anyway. If it seems like I'm pointing fingers, that's because I am. Fourty one of fourty three studies have showed that as intelligence drops, measured by IQ, religiosity, based on a poll provided to them, goes up. This is a perfectly good explanation for why these people who acknowledge Gods existance seem insane. A combination of low IQ and high religiosity.
