Truly horrible Catholic tat
It is Holy Week, when some of the most beautiful and poignant liturgies of the Church are said and sung. And when this quintessentially tasteless US website markets a " Mercy Nail, an authentic first century replica of the nails used to crucify Jesus Christ. It is 7" long, and made of heavy, solid cast bronze. It is set in an attractive gift box and comes with a devotional prayer card." Testimonials, they say, abound. But at least it is supposed to make you think about the Crucifixion. Below it on the site is a £ 9.95 House Selling Kit , customized for times of recession " You will get the standard St. Joseph House Selling Kit, along with a St. Jude Kit - St. Jude is the patron saint of impossible
causes...." It costs $9.95.
Not much for something so utterly efficient at getting the Catholic Church a bad name.

The catholic church already has a bad name in the minds of the true Enlightened, the free thinkers.

Libby;
Ahhh Yes "Holy Week". Amazing The RCC Has One Week Out Of 52 They Designate as "Holy".
In reality every week we serve The Lord should be Holy.
Statues...Rosary Beads..Scapular and medals...Crucifixes. What is the Difference adding nails to this long list of objects of Pagan Origin?

It's not the Catholic Church selling these silly things. Just some folks out to make a buck.

I Don't Know Where You Live Sis; You Can Buy The Things I Mentioned In Many Catholic Church Lobby's!! They Have "Gift Shops". They Promote All This. They Are In Fact A "Buisness" Under The Covering of "Religion"...

Please give me a break. Such items as the nails are not relevant to Roman Catholicism are are of poor taste. However, you can find such kitch connected to most religions and indeed these are people out to make money.Please do try to keep the anti-Catholicism exhibited in some of the posts under some sort of control.

Barton;
With all due respect to your advice.
I grew up and was educated in Catholic Schools. I was over 40 when I discovered all the hoaxes they perpetrate on people.
You really need to go buy a King James Bible read it over and over and find out what these hoaxes are.
I'm not against the Catholic faithful..just the Vatican and their endless schemes and political intrique and their anti-Christian beleifs which the Bible refutes.
I have over 30 members of my family faithful to the RCC I love them all.
