Prayers for the dead of the Chinese earthquake
As the appalling death toll mounts in China, in Dharamshala, Tibet, the Department of Religion and Culture has organised a special prayer
session for the victims of the earthquake . Prayers were led by monks of the Namgyal
Monastery and "dedicated for the good
rebirth of all those Chinese who have lost their lives in the recent
natural calamity,”. The Dalai Lama himself (interesting review here of Alexander Norman's biography) led prayers also last week from his exile.
The Tibetan Book of the Dead (or Great Revelation) says: "Be not frightened; tell no lies; and fear not the Lord of Death.... there are no such things existing
outside oneself as Lord of Death, or god, or demon. Act so as to
recognize this."

Praying - How to feel like you're helping whilst doing nothing.

John;
It may seem like "nothing" to folks like you but it gets results from heaven for folks like me...
