Hackers steal Abbot's identity
Is nothing sacred? An septuagenarian monk in Lothian , Dom Donald McGlynn, has had his identity stolen by hacking fraudsters. They raided his address book and blog, as they do, and sent out a plea for money claiming he was in Quebec and had been robbed. Nobody fell for it , but the sick thing is that advantage was clearly taken deliberately of his online trustedness and sociability. He has now lost all his email addresses.
Why him? One of his works in the past was establishing a Cistercian foundation in Nigeria. Where a lot of email scams originate. It would be good to think that this was not the reason for him being targeted, but...

Libby;
This is the kind of "Modern" world we live in. You are correct..nothing is sacred anymore it seems...
