The 'barque of Peter" and Anglican meltdown
Libby writes: The blogosphere is humming with indignation and speculation over the Anglican meltdown, and a few Catholic sites are tart indeed; this one asking why the 'barque of Peter' should pick up shipwrecked Anglicans. Harsh, but at the time of the last mass defection over women priests, only a few impolite souls asked why it was that the threat of women at the altar should suddenly invalidate all the previous doubts the converts must have had about transubstantiation, the Real Presence in the Eucharist, and Papal infallibility...

This article implies that the Catholic Church is turning up its collective nose at Anglicans and is going to refuse them entry into their congregations out of spite. That is false.
The Catholic site referenced here is very clear that any and all Anglicans would be welcomed into the Catholic Church - if they first agree to become Catholics wholeheartedly. To quote the obvious, this has been the policy of the Catholic Church since the middle ages, when the Anglicans first broke away from the Catholic Church.
Does GOD accept people with divided loyalties?

From the beginning of the Anglican heresy, the problem has been one of obedience improperly enforced. The King declared himself Head of the Church in England, a declaration even Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher did not dispute. When he denied the final authority of the Pope, he became a heretic. All of the bishops, save the soon to be headless St. John Fisher followed him into heresy. Henry named Cranmer, the heretic priest who presided over his bigamous marriage, Archbishop of Canterbury He ordered him to make changes to the Mass, take out some overtly Catholic elements, do the whole thing in English, basically keep a Catholic appearance while undermining the faith in anything Catholic. Within 300 years, the Anglican Catholic faith had been so weakened that Pope Leo XIII was moved to declare there no longer existed valid orders in the Anglican Church.
Regardless of how the Anglican situation turns out, whether they come back to the Church or remain in their obstinacy outside the Faith, we as Catholics have to beware not to misplace our obedience, especially since the Second Vatican Council. We must be vigilant in placing our faith in eternal Rome and eschewing the modern errors which have infiltrated some of the highest posts of the Church, otherwise we, too, face the spectre of priestly invalidity, at least in individual or even regional cases. But never fear, the Anglican fiasco could never be repeated in the Catholic Church, because Christ himself, in establishing Her, promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against Her.

It is spelled transubstantiation.
Is it too much to wish for commentary from someone who is actually acquainted with the topic?

Todd Nacey;
I read your post with great interest.
Todd you stated; "...Christ himself established her (The RCC) and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
First; from a historical standpoint not only did "The gates of hell prevail" they knocked all the walls down as well. when you look at history regarding "The Inqusistion" "Crusades" then conquering foreign lands such as Latin America and The Philippines "In the name of Jesus" by forcing the natives there to accept RCC beleifs or else.... Magellen met his Waterloo in Cebu Philippines when Lapu-Lapu and the Filipino natives promptly caused his demise. It was too late however because most of the nations the RCC conquered are mostly Catholic. The good news however many now see the Light and are leaving the RCC thanks to missionaries who have taught them Biblical truth. No Todd when Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16 v 18-19 He would build "His Church" he wasen't talking about the RCC Sir. The RCC has used this scripture to try and prove they are the "One True Apostolic Church." Todd I invite you and all Catholics to read The Book of Acts first; then all the following Epistles to see if the RCC teaches all that is written. Paul wrote in Galatians 1 v 8 "If anyone bring any other Gospel to you other then the Gospel we (Apostles)gave given you..let them be accursed." Amen to that!

Rik,
Without the RCC church dominating the world for 1200 years it's doubtful you'd be reading any book of the Christian gospel these days. I think we both know it would have died out. How can you be so specific about certain books? What about the books that were left out by humans deciding what the peopple needed to believ and what they didn't.
Your whole life is based around a book assembled by man.
Please don't quote something like
"the lord said unto thee, I've given thee a book with my word and the unbelievers will burn for critiquing it"
Book of nonsense, verse 15, chappter blah

Whoaa...Today I request to post a (PR) comment frum de Trinitarian Monks an Servants, if I may Libby!!
Good Day!
The awakening of The Melchizedekian Priesthood, the Road of Spirit which is Christ Immanuel led, have de RCC in a shake-up.
"For the truth shall set ya free" The revelations Monks bring are in spiritual refreshment to earth, from a deep sleep of 2000 year of old..
It is obvious that the *Holy See* of Rome lacks the mystism and leadership to lead toward our Lord.
Past Melchizedekian Missionary, John Paul I, died in the Chair, attempting to reveal the truth.
Now the Gathering of the Universal Bishops show light into a refreshment of the path toward the Holy City. With Female Priests guided by the hidden Blessed Disciple, Mary Magdalene. This to bring Balance to a wandering world.
So great the Power of the Mystism of the Holy Trinity and its Servants.
Peace in Christ
Trinitarian Monks
Thanks... Faith Central!
Giddup...
