Jewberries, rosaries, cyberQurans, mantrapods. Religion goes digital.
Channel 4 News informs us that there is now a special Jewish prayer Blackberry.
Called a Jewberry. My young and impressionable colleagues seem amazed by this, but after eighteen gruelling months on Faith Central I can tell you that electronic prayers are everywhere. Here's a cyber-rosary for Catholics: "when it's time to pray on a rosary bead, place your mouse curser over the bead and (if you're not using WebTV) it will change from blue to gold." Here's the "most advanced Mobile Quran recitation software for Ipod touch: "Carrying the Noble Quran wherever you went was never this easy". And here are some downloadable Hindu prayers and mantras.
Whatever happened to Man alone and silent before the majesty of God? clickety click, holy ringtones everywhere...

Warning to all Catholics- without the beads of a real Rosary, you don't gain the indulgences.
"Whatever happened to Man alone and silent before the majesty of God?"
The Latin Mass said silently at an unearthly hour on Sunday morning can still be found, but it is like a needle in a haystack in the modern world with its "event" spirituality.

Is there any point in prayer other than the person praying feeling better?
