Backstage at Marc by Marc Jacobs show

CLARIDGES HOTEL: It was probably only to be expected that with the designer's predilection for youth there would be as many chaperones and parents backstage as there were models. Gorgeous black model Chanel Iman was there with her mum in tow.

Spotted - member of the hair stylist Guido Palau's team escorting the models into the ladies loos to wet down their hair much to the consternation of the security guards who are clearly more used to dealing with ladies who lunch and afternoon tea-ing tourists than unruly fashion types.

Make-up supremo Dick Page's team are busy giving the models "come in from the cold" cheeks to go with the Russian-inspired fur bonnets they will be paradaing while the hair is left to create its natural texture. Could it be that with a cast of around 60 models there isn't much time for anything more elaborate? -- Helen Brown
