Simmons & Simmons reveals 20% fall in PEP
Partners' profits at Simmons & Simmons fell nearly a fifth last year, the firm said today, to an average of £520,000. Revenue increased slightly to £291 million.
It's not a disastrous performance, certainly, and is roughly consistent with other firms in its peer group that have so far released their figures for 2008-09, as the table below shows.
And even with the fall, PEP is still well ahead of when Mark Dawkins, right, took over as managing partner in 2005. Back then, it stood at £350,000.
