How to make a World Cup side

Dav Whatmore, the coach who turned Sri Lanka into a World Cup-winning side in 1996 and who is now trying to do the same for Bangladesh, is to address the coaches of the six minnows who will play at next year's World Cup in a two-day training course in Glasgow this week, run by the ICC to help them to compete in the West Indies.

Gus Logie (Bermuda), Andy Pick (Canada), Adrian Birrell (Ireland), Roger Harper (Kenya), Peter Cantrell (Holland) and Peter Drinnen (Scotland) will take part in various workshops that look at teamwork, sports science and other support services, fitness, skill development, match tactics, specialist coaching and match analysis.

Is it too late to get an invite for the England team?
