Mr Men
John Buchanan has given too much away. As my colleague Geoff Dean reported earlier, Justin Langer is known as "Mr Respect" by the Australia coach. Mike Hussey, it is well established, likes to be called "Mr Cricket". Is it possible that England have been playing against the Mr Men, creations of the late, great Roger Hargreaves? (Mystified Australians should click here.)
Ricky Ponting could be Mr Strong; Shane Warne is Mr Impossible; Justin Langer really should be Mr Bump rather than Mr Respect; Brett Lee is Mr Bounce; Steve Waugh clearly used to be Mr Chatterbox; perhaps Michael Clarke is Mr Tickle-down-to-third-man-for-a-single.
As for the English, we have such well known characters as Mr Ball, Mr Stumps and Mr Clear-chance-to-run-out-Ponting...
