Book of the week: Angus Bell
Batting on the Bosphorus, Angus Bell's excellent cricket book-cum-travelogue about a Scotsman playing the beautiful game in Eastern Europe (which was originally published as Slogging the Slavs and is no doubt due another printing under the title At the Crease with Commies or Switch-Hitting in a Skoda) has been the Book of the Week on Radio 4 this week.
I had meant to flag this up earlier but the Test match, Olympics, dental treatment and general absent-mindedness stopped me. However, though the series has now finished, you can listen to it again through the BBC's cleverly titled Listen Again feature. Only for one week, so you have to listen to part 1 by Monday, but it is well worth clicking here and having a listen.
