A million per cent

Graeme Smith is more than just a superb batsman, he seems to have a good sense of humour, too. Asked today about Doug Bollinger's promise that he would put 150,000 per cent in if he makes his Test debut tomorrow, Smith said:

"Anyone who is going to give 150,000 per cent in this game is someone we're going to have to respect."

I think he was joking anyway.

He did have a wry smile on his face as he said it.. And fair play to him.

That lad has grown in my estimation this year.

Happy new year to you Patrick.
