Whoops

14_11_2005_1401 Over on Three Line Whip, James Kirkup wonders why Guido Fawkes is sending e-mails with the official Conservative Party legal warning at the bottom. If they are working together in a black-ops sort of way, it is hard to see which one it would be more embarrassing for.

Update: It turns out that there is a near-innocent explanation, and Guido has been exploiting a rather basic security flaw in the Tories' e-mail distribution system. It seems as though anyone can send a message to all national newspaper daily journalists if they know the right address. Having pointed this out, others immediately took the challenge and shared their thoughts with hacks.

No doubt you'll also want to discuss the comments, then.

Nothing is as it appears. A little caution on your part might be sensible.

Of course, checking facts has always been Guido's forte...

And is any further comment necessary after the latest revelations?
