Jaw-dropping assertion from middle-ranking minister
Quite what possessed Ivan Lewis, the supposedly safe-pair-of-hands social care minister, to write this on the Progress (Blairite pressure group) website, heaven only knows.
"In conversation with colleagues last week we were agreed that despite current political difficulties in reality we have been rather a good government. If only the electorate understood all would be well!"
