Downing Street's new man: Jade Goody is more moron than racist

UberBrogan has introduced us to the latest new man in Downing Street: David Muir, 37, an advertising executive who will work in the political department. No 10 is getting more expensive. Until ten minutes ago, he had a blog, Just Off the Roman. No point in linking: has now been taken down - not least for some of its UnDowning Street views on, for instance, the BBC (which he fears is stifling creativity) and airports (he travelled a lot under his old job). It is, however, available on cache (click cancel through the annoying boxes). Here is what we learnt before it disappeared:

He parades IT geekery with pride

He appreciates the power of suggestion and the subconscious in advertising

He thinks good customer service is paramount

His favourite magazine is the New Yorker

He thinks the BBC may be stifling creativity and that HBO is better (he is a fan of the Wire)

He firmly believes in the huge power of post-modern irony, such as "Jim'll Mix It" cement mixers.

He has watched closely the web and fundraising tactics used by the Obama campaign

He strongly dislikes the media obsession with the Madeleine McCann disappearance, singling out the Evening Standard

He dislikes the British Airports Authority, Gatwick and the British Airways executive lounge in Edinburgh. He thinks the lounge isn't "executive" enough.

He regards the Oyster card as the height of achievement, both technologically and economically

He regularly orders from Oddbins wine, but thinks they could try harder

He once worked for a US Democrat senator

He finds watching someone suffering "really very difficult" and avoids it where possible

He likes high brow and dislikes "citizen journalism"

In PC vs Apple, he is PC. Good man.

He understands Google Adsense. The Tories had better follow suit, quick smart.

He thinks the New York Times' Thomas Friedman is pompous.

He reads eclectically books on social and economic theory and watches films

Jade Goody is "more moron than racist"

He believes sometimes it is better to wear a suit than a polo neck
