Everyone in London - be they Boris Johnson lover or hater - must watch this video *to the end*

I started out thinking it was a tribute video to Boris. Then, like seeing a wardrobe falling on your head from a very great height.... If you don't get it the first time (I didn't) watch it again.

You mumble when you debate / but its two thousand and eight / Who needs a competent candidate

It is never too soon / To elect a buffoon / Boris you make me swoon

Unsurprisingly, the Boris campaign hate it because it reinforces their candidate's negative stereotypes. In fact it rather plays to the "cult of Boris" -- which is what their campaign is all about.

Team Boris much prefer the viral "Back Boris song". I've reproduced it below the fold, so click on the link underneath this to see it - though frankly it's not very good.

Repeatedly hattipping Iain Dale for this one.

amusing for the political hacks; the average man on the Clapham omnibus couldn't give two hoots what silly videos people produce about a candidate.

Banging 3 women at once and impregnating two of them within weeks - now THAT'S a story that'll interest the middle classes in the outer boroughs...

Yes James. It's kind of like having a four year affair with a woman at work while you have a wife and kids at home, then denying it ever happened and being sacked from the shadow government. Isn't it?

Was this YouTube video financed from Tessa's swear box ? Pathetic !

If you didn't get it the first time you must be bloody thick. Personally I prefer the second video.

great video, when is the one about Ken coming out though? or has it already been done by "the streets" with "too much brandy"

Posted by: tim | 7 Apr 2008 17:04:44

I actually think that second video (the Back Boris song) is much better!

Maybe this is how Boris won the election!
