What the Tory conference programme reveals
The Tories conference agenda is on their website.
In addition to confirming last weekend's FT story about a session on preparing for power, (9.15-10am on Wednesday: "Oliver Letwin and Francis Maude will discuss the work we are doing to ensure that the next Conservative government is ready from day one to make the big long-term changes"), the document gives an interesting indication of who Tory high command feel need star billing:
** Only three keynote speeches: David Cameron (Wednesday 2.30pm), George Osborne (approx 12pm on Monday) and William Hague (approx 2.30pm on Sunday)
** The rest of the shadow Cabinet host "discussions". Only a handful of them will host sessions on their own: Michael Gove, Andrew Lansley, Liam Fox, Chris Graying and Caroline Spelman.
** Seems like they had trouble fitting in Jeremy Hunt, shadow culture secretary. He is squeezed at the end of the Dominic Grive / Nick Herbert Crime session at 11am on Tuesday, talking about how to set up a football tournament.
** Boris Johnson gets a 15 minute slot at 3pm on Sunday to "outline his vision for our capital's future". Could they have made more of him?

Boris Johnson gets a 15 minute slot at 3 post meridiem to talk about Londinium on dies Solis? Perhaps he will slip out a Latin quote for the delegatum?

No mention of Ian Duncan Smith? He can put up a bravura performance. Seems a shame that he's not been invited for a reprise.
