Well, that’s fairly conclusive. The Times has asked every World Cup-winning captain to predict the outcome of the weekend's semii-finals and none has backed England to win. Yup, even Martin Johnson, the man who led a third of the current side to glory in 2003, fears the worst for his former charges. What do you think? Can England upset expectations again? Check out this animated video clip for an entertaining and none too threatening French version of the Haka. It also includes a showdown between Jonny Wilkinson and Sebastien Chabal. We’re not sure why Jonny sprouts hair but the implication of him being swallowed by the hirsute beast is fairly clear.

Sydney meets George

How touching. In homage to the England team that flattened them so ruthlessly on Saturday, a nation that is not normally the most gracious loser has redecorated its most famous building in the pattern of the St George's Flag. Yes, as shown in the picture to the left, Australia have given the Sydney Opera House a makeover that shows due reverence to its Sovereign ruler and rugby superior. Word has it they plan to continue such humble work by renaming two other iconic sites Ben Kay Springs and Great Sheridan Reef. Rest assured we shall keep you informed.
