Only Half Way to Paradise
When you're here, you're half way there. That's what they say in Adrian, Texas, the midpoint of Route 66. At half time in this weekend's round 14 of engage Super League matches, sides will be half way through the 27-match regular league programme. As we approach the mid mark, I present my one-word summation of teams' peformances so far, in the order they sit in the table before Friday night's Leeds v Wakefield and Wigan v Warrington fixtures.
1, Leeds - outstanding; 2, Catalans - surprising; 3, St Helens - menacing; 4, Bradford - stuttering; 5, Warrington - underperforming; 6, Wakefield - uplifting; 7, Wigan - frustrating; 8, Hull KR - enlightening; 9, Harlequins - erratic; 10, Hull - unfortunate; 11, Huddersfield - disappointing; 12, Castleford - drowning.

1 Leeds - on fire but possibly a bit thin on the bench. The title is theirs to lose.
2 Catalans - false position, will go down the table. Home form could get them into the playoffs.
3 St Helens - are building their momentum, blending youngsters and proven talent, possible champions
4 Bradford- poor so far, too little pace for their new style . New signings are not doing the business. Need to go back to a bashing game if they are to make the GF
5 Warrington - very disappointing and many injuries, but can be a dark horse if they get to the playoffs
6 Wakefield - some good players but not the strength in depth to last the pace
7 Wigan - unpredictable, but will reach the playoffs and be a dark horse
8 Hull KR - good signings this season, well coached but likely to fade
9 Quins - well coached, silk purse out of a sows ear
10 Hull - big disappointment, team seemingly lacks motivation
11 Huddersfield - good threequarters and good front row, the others let them down.
12 Castleford- honest triers, but only two players would make the matchday seventeen at a top-six club

I need more than one word lol
1. Leeds - Champions - That can be summed up in 1 word
2. Catalans - Suprising - Never thought they could have been so consistent - Its a long season though and they have to keep it up
3. Saints - Almost - Saints look like they are picking it up a gear and will be making a huge challenge in the play offs
4. Bradford - Disappointing - I dont know what it is about bradford, I think they have turned boring
5. Warrington - Inconsistent - Either great or poor - Suffering with a few injuries but rely too much on a couple of players
6. Wakefield - Impressive - up to 12 injuries and still in the top 6 - What an effort - Well done john kear and co
7. Wigan - Disappointing But signs of a revival - Wont be beating leeds or saints in the GF but could well mount a play off challenge - if trent picks up his form
8. Hull KR - Impressive - The top hull side, Recruited well and are battling hard for results
9. Harlequins - Strange - Another side i cant sum up, Great in patches - were dire for 40mins against us in cup - then outstanding in the next 40
10. Hull FC - INJURED - Says it all - Fighting a losing battle at the minute
11. Huddersfield - Disappointing - With the squad they have they should be challenging the 6
12. Castleford - Dire - Beat both of last years grand finalists - and thats it - The team are good enough on there day - They just cant sustain it - Spent little this year to save the money for a big push next season - Amazing youth talent coming through though
