Wakey on their way to Wembley ?
There are two irresistible cup forces at work in this weekend's semi-finals - St Helens and John Kear - so will we witness a Saints v Wakefield final at Wembley on August 30 ? A fired up Leeds will beg to differ on Saturday lunchtime at Huddersfield against a pumped up Saints, who last lost in the cup to John Kear's Hull in the 2005 semi-finals, again at the Galpharm. I'm taking cup pedigree to see Saints through to their fourth final in five years - and they rarely lose in cup finals, do they ?
Hull's season would be transformed by a first trip back to Wembley since they lost the classic 1985 final to Wigan - and Richard Agar, following in the footsteps of his dad Allan with Featherstone, cup winners in 1983, has cup success genetically programmed into him. Indeed, he was Kear's assistant when Hull beat Leeds in Cardiff in 2005 - another of those against-the-odds cup triumphs that Kear - a four-times cup winner as assistant coach to Castleford (1986) and Wigan (2002) and head coach of Sheffield (1998) and Hull three years ago, specialises in. Wakey for Wembley - let the magician cast his spell.
* A word to Wakefield fans from resident Rugby League Blog prophet Trinity Dick, who has e-
mailed me the following: "Wakefield fans, do not get excited about the big game on Sunday. It isn’t one. Wakefield will win and progress. The Theory says that Hull FC, by fielding an ineligible player in the earlier rounds, have transgressed the unwritten law. The RFL are in a quandary because they know they should have acted in executive fashion. They did not, but The Theory will surely come to their rescue and Hull will lose, so that the balance of right and wrong is restored. This match is not to do with form, ability or preparation. Wakefield may have lost four matches in a row and will start as underdogs, but this is all quite irrelevant. Remember, always look beyond the obvious to identify the real reason why events in rugby league unfold. These are the words of Trinity Dick. Not pathetic but prophetic."
**Dear readers, Trinity Dick will be attending the Wakefield v Hull semi-final in Doncaster with your correspondent in order to test his "Theory" to the full. Join us on the Blog on Monday to see how he got on.

i think hull will do them, but could be close.

Contrary to Trinity Dick's 'Theory' and 'Prophecies,' I have an alternative proposal based on facts! Hull F.C.'s current form, experience, and quality of squad going into the semi-final is superior to Wakefield's. Whilst I am looking forward to a well contested match, there should only be one winner and that is Hull F.C. And for those whingers out there who will say that Hull's ( & the RFL's) transgression with Jamie Thackray should mean they have unfairly reached the final....Get Over It!

Does Trinity Dick have any more theories ?
Like the meaning of life, for instance ? He looks raving by his picture ...

Its amazing Hull are still in it they should have been thrown out but the spineless RFL did not do it, why I wonder??
Yorkshire cricket were not so lucky Its pretty straightforward really you cheat and you are out!
