'Super Sunday' offers range of options

The bookmakers cannot get enough of what they are describing as 'Super Sunday'. Boylesports envisage fiery encounters at the Emirates and Anfield - prompting them to offer a skinny 14-1 that a player is sent off in each game. It is 12-1 for both games to see a penalty and 9-1 for them to finish with the same scoreline.

Paddy Power plot downfall odds

He may not have been appointed yet, but Paddy Power are already betting on what will be Fabio Capello’s downfall. They make failure to qualify for World Cup 2010 the 5-4 favourite. More juicy is the 25-1 offered against him standing down after an affair with a celebrity or the 33-1 that he criticises Brian Barwick in public. Why would he ever want to do that?

Bookies speculate on tenure

Coral are offering 7-1 that Fabio Capello can lead England to glory in either the World Cup or European Championship. And they are already speculating on how many matches that the 61-year-old will be in the hot seat - offering 10-11 about 29 or less, and 10-11 about 30 or more.

Welcome to The Sports Book

Getting the value is the key to a winning betting strategy and the best prices are invariably available early in the day before the shrewd money comes in. While the bookmakers only offer ante-post betting on the biggest races, they offer prices on every race from 10.15 each morning and that is when the best bets are usually struck.

I will be scouring the prices of every bookmaker each weekday to unearth the pick of the prices and will put my advice on our Sports Book weblog at midday.

In addition, with betting exchanges becoming ever more popular, there will be a "play of the day" for exchange users.

In an ever-changing market, it pays to stay a step ahead of the rest and I hope that this new service will enable Sports Book followers to improve their betting.

George Rae, Andy Stephens and Mike Brewer - our team of top tipsters - will also try to ensure you stay ahead of the field with daily advice across a wide range of sports.
